Confidential Dispute Advising Office

Do you feel you've been insulted, treated unfairly or discriminated against? Do you feel powerless and abandoned?
We can provide advice, clarification, information and mediation.

Conflicts and difficult situations are normal, including in everyday university life. What is important is dealing with them constructively. And it is helpful to talk about them early on. The Confidential Dispute Advising Office is a point of contact for students and instructors in the event of difficult situations and conflicts between students and university employees. Such situations could include:

  • Problems with the organisation of studies
  • Conflicts related to exams

  • Complaints about racist or sexist comments
  • Experiences of powerlessness due to unequal distribution of power

We are neutral and impartial, and we support all parties to a conflict equally. We maintain absolute confidentiality vis-à-vis third parties regarding information and events, personal information and conversations. Please don't hesitate to contact us, even if you're not sure the Confidential Dispute Advising Office is the right place to deal with your situation.

If you wish to discuss a sensitive or personal issue, you are welcome to contact any member of the Confidential Dispute Advising Office, regardless of gender or faculty affiliation. All of our team members are available to support you with your questions or problems.
