Scholarships from external funders
Claussen-Simon Foundation
................................................................................................................................................................................................
The Claussen-Simon Foundation offers scholarships for various target groups. The prerequisite for all of these scholarships is that applicants' German skills are at the B1 level. If you have questions, please contact the individuals listed on the foundation website directly (see the links below). The International Office is unable to answer questions about scholarships from external funders.
For Bachelor's students:
- B-First: The B-First programme supports first-generation university students in all subject areas who are in their first or second subject semester and no older than 30 at the time they submit their application. The funding goes to young people whose parents do not have an academic background. You can find more information (in German) here.
- B-Mint: The B-Mint programme supports women up to 25 years old who are in the first or second subject semester of a MINT degree (mathematics, IT, natural sciences, technology) and are aiming to complete a B.Sc. or a B.Eng. You can find more information (in German) here.
For Master's students:
- Master Plus: Students from all subject areas who are under 35 years old, have completed their Bachelor's degree with a minimum grade of 1.7, and are starting a Master's degree are eligible to apply (prior to the first subject semester). The application deadline generally falls before the date that letters of admission are sent. This means that the application for a scholarship should ideally be sent to the foundation at the same time the application for the Master's degree course is submitted. You can find more information here.
