Online study preparation
Starting your studies is easier thanks to HAW Hamburg's viaMINT online learning environment (in German). You can use this tool to prepare independently for your studies, even before your courses begin. Anyone can use the platform at no cost.
At viamint.de you can find study modules for math, physics, chemistry and computer science. The content is explained clearly in videos, interactive visuals and lots of practice exercises. There are also many other useful functions, such as self-tests with study recommendations, individual study programmes, and a tool that lets you select your degree course.
Self-test

With the help of the self-tests in math, physics and chemistry you can test what you already know from your schooling and identify any gaps in your knowledge. In order to quickly address these gaps, you will receive individualised recommendations following each test for those study modules that you should review more closely.

Don't worry about how many modules there are! There's a speedy way to review those subjects you want to brush up on and revisit. At the end of each study sequence there is a summary video and accompanying practice exercises, which are marked in red. If you want to study everything from scratch you can complete all the elements of the study sequence.
Individualised study

If you select your degree course from the viaMINT desktop, the subjects that are relevant for your course will be displayed. This means you can prepare for your studies in a targeted way.
