Welcome to the HAW Hamburg Faculty of Design, Media and Information!
Each year international students come to the HAW Hamburg departments of Design, Media Technology and Information and enrich their academic training through one or two semesters in Hamburg. In 2022, HAW Hamburg welcomed 276 new international first-semester students and visiting students from a total of 47 countries. The top countries of origin were India, Vietnam, Iran, Bangladesh, Syria, Nigeria, Yemen, Cameroon, Morocco, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Colombia, Ecuador, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
An additional 125 visiting students from our partner universities in Europe and overseas also chose to spend one or two semesters at HAW Hamburg. They are from 31 countries: Egypt, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, China, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Austria, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Venezuela, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
