Getting up to speed about a semester abroad
The recognition of credit points at HAW Hamburg is the responsibility of the departments. Getting the information you need well ahead of time makes planning easier.
Anyone who is thinking about studying abroad for a semester should find out how credit points will be recognised early on. At the Faculty of Design, Media and Information, competent partners are available to help students with planning and realising their semester abroad. As a first step, students should talk with the student exchange coordinator about application deadlines, partner universities and funding.
The recognition of credit points should be the next step on students' to-do list. Because HAW Hamburg does not have single tables for calculating equivalencies, it is necessary to talk with the responsible contact people in the individual departments. The recognition of credit points is namely the responsibility of the departments or study areas.
