Through a selected range of topics, the Smart Systems Research and Transfer Centre (RTC) addresses the provision of technical, methodological and reflexive support for the digital transformation.
Drawing on computer science as a starting point, an interdisciplinary group of colleagues made up of professors, academic staff, doctoral students and other students conducts research on topics such as interactive virtual and augmented reality, smart object and user interface, machine learning and data mining, and science and technology studies, among others. The Creative Space for Technical Innovation serves as a central hub for this work, making possible projects, final theses and workshops. The aim of the Smart Systems RTC is to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders from academia, business and society in order to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology.
