Promoting anti-discrimination

Incorporating equal opportunities in university development

(Hamburg Higher Education Act, Section 3, Para. 4) - Management of the organisational development process for equal opportunities and against discrimination
(Diversity Audit) - Networking on the issue of diversity between the central university administration and the faculties and departments
- Advising of central organisational units and the faculties on how to design structures and processes to support equal opportunities and diversity
HAW Hamburg's diversity vision
Educational opportunities are distributed unequally in our society. We want to change this. At HAW Hamburg, promoting educational equality is one of our central aims.
Our students and staff are diverse, as are their skills. We want to recognise their talents and support them in the process of developing their skills.
Societal problems and conflicts are complex. Simplistic answers frequently lead to further tensions. We thus aim to develop academically sound solutions to societal problems.
