The Crisis Team provides support in situations where (1) students are exhibiting unusual or problematic (psychological) behaviour and there is a risk of escalation in their interactions with others or (2) a student has died.

In these acute crisis situations, we are there to support both HAW Hamburg staff and the students involved. We help them identify and carry out the necessary steps to resolve the situation.

If you experience a crisis situation in your everyday teaching involving a student who is experiencing acute psychological issues, you can contact the Crisis Team.

In the rare case of a student death, the Crisis Team can assist you in finding a suitable approach for dealing with the situation in everyday university life.

The Crisis Team is made up of staff from the Student Counselling Office, the Confidential Dispute Advising Office, the occupational health- and conflict-management programmes, and the representative for students with disabilities and chronic illness.
