Mechanical engineering is at the core of almost all engineered products 'Made in Germany'. Designing and manufacturing high-quality products requires not only an excellent understanding of the customer and market requirements, but also an efficient product design process and a thorough understanding of the key technical fundamentals, their possibilities and their limitations.

Germany is not just a pacemaker in the development of up-market engineering products. It also demonstrates that it is possible to supply a modern, energy-dependent society with an environmentally-friendly energy base. The courses offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Production Management at Campus Berliner Tor provide an insight into some of these innovative fields.

Each summer semester (April–July) exchange students from our partner universities can gain insight into this expertise by taking some of the following classes in English:

Note: Students may also be able to take classes from aeronautical engineering, automotive engineering and information engineering (all within the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science) if lecture schedules and capacity allow.
